This is the first of a couple of post about the current underground rap leagues. Their is KOTD(King of the DOT) from Canada, Grind Time which has a couple of divisions, URL(Ultimate Rap League), Ultimate Warrior in New Jersey, Lionz Den in New York, and the current champions Smack and the Legendary Fight Klub. They all stake a claim on who is the best, some have a valid point. If you listen to the rappers in each League you can hear shots being thrown at the others. Maybe one day we can have a best of the best tournament.
Today is about Grind Time. Gring Time has had many amazing battles over the years like Okwerdz vs Arsonal, Cortez vs anybody, and the now infamous Hollow Da Don Hulk Hogan shirt rip. This league has many divisions from West Coast to New York to even down south. They have a distictive sound, a wordy syllabolic tone in their rhymes. There is no discrimination here they have one rule: Bring your game! Because like most battles it is real easy to get embarassed quick. So enjoy let me know you think.
